the ‘Protecting the Right Ventricle network (PRORVnet)’ is dedicated to conducting high quality research aimed at studying strategies that could potentially mitigate right ventricular dysfunction in critical condictions, such as ARDS, during extracorporeal support, after cardiac surgery or heart transplantation, thoracic surgery, one-lung ventilation or lung transplantation, and sepsis. 

PRORVnet helps to build on a scientific foundation for the use of transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography in predicting right ventricular dysfunction and investigation of novel echocardiographic markers of right ventricular dysfunction
